On July 3–4, representatives from across Europe came together to align strategies and shape the next steps of this powerful initiative.

From Austria, BildungsLAB joined the discussions and proudly contributed to:
✔ the implementation of online training modules
✔ registration systems for mentors and mentees
✔ the upcoming pilot of our language mentoring program
✔ visibility and outreach at the European level

In Austria, we now enter a decisive phase:
✔ expanding the recruitment of student mentors
✔ building meaningful connections with young migrants aged 12–17

Our goal:
50 student mentors supporting 50 young people in Austria.

Across Europe:
✅ 400 university mentors
✅ 400 young migrants
✅ Less school dropout
✅ More inclusion and intercultural dialogue

Language Buddy, co-funded by the AMIF - Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, empowers young migrants through informal language learning and peer-to-peer mentoring.

Through shared experiences, small moments, and genuine presence, we’re working to make inclusion not just a policy - but a lived reality.

This is what Europe can be.
This is what change looks like.

The Consortium, led by the University of Macedonia, consists of 16 organisations, 8 CSOs, 7 Universities, 1 directorate of education and take place in 8 European countries: Greece, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Malta and Austria.
