About the Project:
ProVol is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission. Professional Volunteering (ProVol) is a partnership consisting of partner organizations from various European countries. Our goal is to professionalize volunteering through the development of an accessible, flexible, and sustainable European model for training volunteer coordinators and volunteers. We aim to improve the effectiveness of volunteering and the quality of the services provided. To this end, we have implemented several projects since 2015.
Project Objectives
Professionalization of volunteering through the development of an accessible, flexible, and sustainable European model for training volunteer coordinators and volunteers.
Improvement of the effectiveness of volunteering and the quality of the services provided.
Promotion of inclusive volunteering, including training for people with disabilities, refugees, and migrants, as well as expansion of the model to further European countries.
Implementation
The ProVol project is carried out through the following measures:
A European partnership between organizations such as Gemeinsam leben & lernen in Europa e.V. (Germany), Dobrovolnické centrum Ústí nad Labem (Czech Republic), with continuations in countries such as Slovakia, Austria, Portugal, Italy, and Lithuania.
Development and improvement of a training model, including a simple language version for people with limited language skills or disabilities.
Building on projects such as "Professional Volunteering Crossborder," "Improve," "Improve 2.0," and "ProVol Digital," which focus on inclusion, digitalization, and network building.
Expected Results
Development of an accessible, flexible, and sustainable European model for training coordinators and volunteers, including a training plan and handbook.
Creation of a simple language version of the training for refugees, migrants with limited language skills, and people with learning and intellectual disabilities.
Expansion of the training to further countries such as Slovakia, Austria, Italy, and Lithuania, with a focus on inclusive volunteering.
Development of the training as an online course, additional training on digitalization in volunteering, use of digital tools, and establishment of a ProVol network.
